Dunks & The Outlier first teamed up several years ago on a small island off of BC’s west coast. Recognizing a mutual love for music, a unique partnership was born and the Funk Hunters came to be. Since landing in Vancouver in 2008, the two have continued to perfect their unique 4 turntable performances with the addition of a vast library of acapellas and original productions. In addition to playing shows all over Canada’s westcoast, the duo have also helped further solidify the Nu Funk sound in Canada by bringing in talent from around the globe – most recently, they partnered with Goodgroove Records (UK) to launch Canada’s first-ever Regrooved party.

2010 is shaping up to be a breakthrough year for this funky duo. Their mixbag of exclusive edits and mixes have received international attention and play from the world’s top Nu Funk producers. This summer The Funk Hunters will be hitting the festival circuit dropping their own blend of booty-shaking party hop at festivals such as the Bass Coast Project and the acclaimed Shambhala Music Festival.
